The “MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management” welcomes graduates from a diverse array of Higher Education Institutions (both Universities and Technological Educational Institutes) located in Greece, as well as equivalent international institutions. Specifically, eligible candidates include:
- Tourism and Business Administration Graduates:
- Departments of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Tourism Administration, and Business Administration.
- Graduates of Related Academic Fields:
- Fields such as Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Economics, Public Administration, etc.
- Graduates of Non-Related Academic Fields with Professional Experience:
- Applicants with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
- Graduates of Non-Related Academic Fields without Experience:
- Applications will be reviewed case-by-case by the Steering Committee.
Additional Requirements for International Degree Holders:
- Applicants with foreign qualifications are required to present a Certificate of Equivalence issued by the Hellenic National Academic and Recognition Information center(DOATAP).
- Notably, applicants who have filed their documentation for recognition but have yet to receive this certificate may still submit an application, provided they commit to submitting the requisite certificate upon enrollment. Non-compliance with this provision will lead to exclusion from the program.
- Individuals in their final year of study are permitted to apply but must supply proof of graduation upon enrollment.
Intake and Enrollment Process
- The maximum annual intake for the MSc program is set at 35 students, which may include a limited number of part-time students, equivalent to a maximum of three full-time participants.
- Part-time study options are available for students who are employed, contingent upon application to the Department Assembly. In exceptional cases, part-time study may also be granted to unemployed individuals.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will undergo a selection process predicated on the accumulation of points from the following evaluative criteria:
- Undergraduate Degree Grade: Reflects academic achievement.
- Proficiency in English: Demonstrated competence, with knowledge of an additional foreign language considered advantageous.
- Proven Professional Experience: Relevant industry experience within the field.
- Personal Interview: Evaluation of candidates in an interview setting.
Proficiency in Greek Language for Non-Greek Applicants: Necessary, although this requirement does not extend to students participating in the Erasmus program. Priority in the selection process will be assigned to those candidates exhibiting relevant professional experience. Ultimately, candidates will be selected based on the highest total points accrued across the outlined criteria.
